Each student will be given an information sheet with the following information:

1. How to log into the Wolves domain:
A student must be physically at the high school the first time he/she logs into a CCA/CHS-issued laptop. It works best to be connected to the school network with an Ethernet cable (not the wireless). The best place to do this is in Mrs. Hammond’s room (115). Each student has a user name and password to log into the network (will be on information sheet provided to student). If a student forgets his/her password, Mrs. Hammond can reset it.

2. Install Office 2016 (Office 365, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.):
CISD has purchased Office 365 licenses for all students and staff. This allows them to download the latest versions of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
a) Open Internet Explorer or Edge (the new browser with Windows 10)
b) Go to office.microsoft.com.
c) Click Sign in at the top-right corner of the window and click Work, school, or university.
d) Student’s sign-in name will be provided on information sheet given to each student. (It is the same user name used to log into our network, followed by @coloradoisd.org. The password will also be the same one used to log into the school network.)
e) Click the big install button and follow the prompts. You will most likely need Mrs. Hammond to put in her user name and password for you to complete the installation on your school-issued laptop. You can install Office on up to 10 computers AND devices (phone, tablet, etc.). If you need help, ask Mrs. Hammond.

3. We want students to regularly check their grades, attendance, etc. in Skyward Student Access.
Go to www.ccity.esc14.net. Click Parent/Community Resources, then Family Access for CISD Parents. Student’s user name and password are provided on information sheet given to each student. There is an app that can be installed on phones and/or tablets for Skyward Student Access. If parents need credentials to log into Family Access, please email Mrs. Hammond at bhammond@ccity.esc14.net.

Helpful information:

• The main school web site is www.ccity.esc14.net. We will also use www.coloradoisd.org this year.
• Students should save files and documents to their OneDrive provided through the Office 365 account explained above. They should NOT save to the Documents folder of the computer they are using. If something happens to that computer, their data is gone! They need to use the cloud!
• Do NOT put stickers, decorations, etc. on laptop.
• A laptop needs air circulating under it. Don’t leave it on anything soft, like a pillow or bed.
• To avoid cracking the screen, open the laptop from the middle, not the corner.
